As part of its community outreach effort, the SSBD Board of Commissioners conducts security forums in order to update residents of the District of it activities, past and future budgets, tax rate changes, crime statistics and other news and special programs in which the District is involved. Guest speakers often include law enforcement, city leaders, and board commissioners. Forums also serve as a helpful tool for residents to gain knowledge on steps they can take to prevent crime.
