SLPD Neighborhood Sub-Station

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department utilizes the concept of “sub-stations” throughout the City of St. Louis to provide a place for SLMPD Officers to process paperwork, print reports and conduct research, without having to drive back to their Division facilities. This keeps the Officers in the neighborhood and provides flexibility and proximal access to them during their shifts.

One such substation is located within the District boundaries, at the corner of Barton & 11th Streets, and provides SLMPD Officers computer access (dedicated access to proprietary SLMPD servers), color and B&W printers, phones and refreshments.

The space (in which the substation is located) is generously donated by the building’s 1st floor tenant (Kiernan Chiropractic), while the maintenance and upkeep of the substation is funded by the Soulard Special Business District.
