About Soulard Special Business District

Approved by voters as a “special taxing district” in 1994, the primary purpose of the Soulard Special Business District is to provide enhanced security inside the district boundaries. This includes private security patrols (off-duty City of St. Louis Police officers), security products to residents (e.g., car clubs, energy-efficient lightbulbs, etc.), crime/safety education and other safety-related services to residents living within the boundaries of the SSBD.

Soulard Special Business District Board

An important component of the Soulard Special Business District is the seven person board.  Each board member serves a four-year term and district guidelines require that the board be composed of four property owners, one property renter, one business/property owner and one business owner/property renter.

This morning, these officers and sergeant received a Chief's Letter of Commendation for their exemplary work in keeping the citizens of St. Louis safe.

Please congratulate these amazing men and women on their achievements.

Relative to the Homicide in the 2800 block of Stoddard on 11/19/19, officers arrested Cochee Hurn. @stlcao issued 1 count of Murder 1st, 1 count of Assault 1st, 1 count of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, & 2 counts of Armed Criminal Action.

Bond was not allowed.
