Soulard Supper Club (706 Lafayette Avenue) has closed — in what may be the swiftest opening-closing scenario we’ve ever seen.
The venue, in the former Woodies spot, opened April 28 and announced its closing with this quick note on Facebook May 18.
The post goes on to say there were issues with licensing, changing the building and the patio that outweighed the cost to continue.
Soulard Supper Club was not only a place for lunch and dinner but also featured evening performances including female and male impersonation, burlesque, variety show performances and fire performers.
